Just a couple of days ago a description for the teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was released. Now, a new report suggests fans may finally see it live in theatres as early as this year.

The International Business Times once claimed the trailer will be released with "Into The Woods." The Disney musical is scheduled for a theatrical release in December. However, multiple sources exclusively told Starwars7news that the teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released with "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" on Dec. 17, 2014.

The site reports that a local theatre manager has confirmed the teaser is tied with the new "Hobbit" movie. The manager reportedly cited rules and regulations regarding trailer releases and claimed that "companies (like Disney) aren't allowed to "cross-promote" except for two times in a year." Additionally, he supposed it was not going to be tied with "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" and since "since Hobbit comes out a year before Star Wars: The Force Awakens it could be close enough to be within these rules."

Twitter user Reece Steel claimed he had a talk with Thomas Gormley about the movie. According to the site Gormley is the first assistant director of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." He supposedly told Steel, "you might wanna go see the Hobbit" in response to his inquiry about the teaser's release date.

While this information has yet to be confirmed, Slashfilm was quick to point out facts that suggest its validity. First off Steel's Twitter account was reportedly deleted minutes after Starwars7news broke the news. Looking at the user's info shows he has been on Twitter since March 2012 with 196 followers and 4000 tweets. Thus, his account is supposedly not a "recent plant."

Additionally, Slashfilm supposed Thomas Gormley would also have knowledge about the post production of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." He and movie director J.J. Abrams are believed to be close friends so there's a possibility he knows something about the film's marketing. Plus "The Hobbit" director Peter Jackson allegedly also visited the set of J.J. Abram's film, which makes him another reason to believe the teaser trailer will be released on December 17.

IBTimes adds the release of the teaser trailer will debut the appearance of the main villain in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The villain will reportedy be seen among the montage of characters in the teaser wearing a mask. His mask supposedly looks like a cross between Darth Reven's in "Knights of the Old Republic" and the red-coloured Imperial Guards' mask from "Return of the Jedi." However, no further details were revealed regarding the character.
