The recently released teaser for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" definitely caused a stir of excitement among fans as well as brought speculations with regard to plot details. Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill was even surprised himself on the reaction the preview caused among viewers.

IGN caught up with the actor while out promoting his voiceover role in NBC's "Christmas special Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas." He was asked to share about his reactions to the various speculations reported following the release of the 88-second teaser.

"You know, I'll tell you, the most moving aspect of them releasing that trailer was watching a [video] of other people watching it," Hamill said, adding that watching the viewers thrilled to see the teaser was a "moving experience."

Apparently, the success of the release reportedly set the Internet records for the most-viewed trailer of all time. Citing the video metrics group Zefr, New York Daily News claimed the teaser for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" earned more than 60 million YouTube views. It topped "Jurassic World" (53.9 million) and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (50.6 million). This amount of views was enough to make Hamill become emotional seeing many people happy and thrilled when they watched the teaser.

"I actually got a lump in my throat watching that," the actor said.

However, when pressed for movie details such as plot points, the iconic Luke Skywalker actor refused to give away information, citing confidentially reasons. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is still a year away from its U.S. release on Dec 18, 2015 yet the actor revealed he had already practiced what he's going to say when asked for spoilers. He confirmed with IGN that he had agreed with production not to talk about the movie, so he'd practiced his phrase of "You have to wait and see" in case people asks.

Additionally, Mark Hamill admitted he is one of those people that like to be surprised. So he reportedly refuses to read any spoilers and hates watching a trailer that somehow makes him say, "Gee, that's pretty much the whole movie." Nevertheless, the actor assured "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is in "good hands" especially with the addition of new "wonderful actors" Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega , Oscar Isaac and Adam Serkis among others.
