Recently released photos of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” confirm that Lupita Nyong’o’s character in the movie is a C.G.I character. The character was created using motion capture technology, which will use the expressions of the actress for the character. A new report now confirms the location of the character in the movie. [Spoiler alert]

Major characters from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” featured in the recently released photos from the movie set. The photos were exclusively released by VanityFair, where the villain Kylo Ren was unmasked for the very first time. One of the photographs also revealed the extras in the movie who will be playing the roles of different alien races in the movie. Readers will notice that an alien dog may also feature in the movie.

The look of one major character was, however, not revealed in the photographs. There was an image of Lupita Nyong’o using the motion capture technology to help create her alien character. The name of her character was revealed to be Maz Kanata. The character is said to be a pirate in the movie.

Previous spoilers about Lupita Nyong’o’s character have explained how significant she will be in the movie and the movies after “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” A new report by Jason Ward of MakingStarWars, who has accurately leaked concept arts and other information about the movie, has suggested that Maz Kanata will be found in the “Golan District” in the movie.

The location was apparently codenamed as “Exotic City” in the concept arts of the movie and as “The Hall of Mirrors” in the official documents. It is still unclear whether the location is the name of the planet, city, castle or a pub. The report speculates that the final version of the movie will feature the name “Golan.”

Commenting on the report, one of the fans pointed out that the Golan District is in fact a location on the planet Coruscant. The planet Coruscant was the political seat of power in the galaxy before the Clone Wars and also during the first Galactic Empire under Palpatine. It is unclear if the planet remains significant during the timeline during which “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is based.

Another fan also pointed out that the reference of Maz Kanata’s location could be to the non-canon Golan Defence Platforms. Some of these defence platforms were also used to protect the planet Coruscant. Fans of the franchise are eagerly waiting to see some of popular planets from the previous movie and some new planets, including Rey’s home planet Jakku, in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
