Harrison Ford’s injury while filming for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” made headlines, not only because it confirmed the actor’s involvement in the sequel, but it also caused the film's production to go on a short hiatus. Fans and crew were reportedly worried over the actor’s condition then. However, movie director J.J. Abrams made an effort not to dampen everyone’s mood during filming. According to Oscar Isaac, Abrams clowned around on the set following the accident.

Oscar Isaac recalled J.J. Abrams’ reaction to Harrison Ford’s accident during an interview with Huffington Post UK. The actor claimed “JJ was in such high spirits” when he returned to film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” after the accident. Isaac recalled Abrams was “literally making jokes on the loud speakers.”

“We had a big schedule that day, but JJ stopped us all and he said, ‘Can everybody just stop and look at the moon right now?’” he said. The actor recalled the director using the moon’s beauty to set the mood right and said, “Look how beautiful it is, and how lucky we all are to be here.”

Jedi News UK claimed Abrams had an “unusual reaction” to Harrison Ford’s injury, especially to someone who’s broken his leg. However, Oscar Isaac recalled the director made the experience “very personal.” The actor revealed J.J. Abrams knew then what was important during the filming. Isaac claimed the director reminded them “it was a beautiful experience.”

This is not the first time Oscar Isaac had said nice words about the director. The 35-year-old once complimented J.J. Abrams for giving everyone a “good time” while shooting “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” According to Screenrant, Isaac admitted Abrams brought “a lot of enthusiasm” into the work being done for the movie. Likewise, the actor revealed that his scenes in the sequel puts him in direct interaction with Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia ( Carrie Fisher). He reportedly has on-screen and off-screen contact although it’s still uncertain what character he is playing. The actor was seen piloting a ship from the trailer released for the movie, although it didn't reveal which role he will be playing. Some supposed he'd be a Stormtrooper however rumours have it he is playing Han Solo's son.
