A new report suggests that the first ever female Stormtrooper may be featured in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Fans of the franchise have so far seen the Clonetroopers in the prequel trilogy and the changes made to the recruiting process in the animation series. The original trilogy did not feature any female Stormtrooper.

Amybeth Hargreaves may be one of the first actresses to play a female Stormtrooper in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." According to a report by JediNews the actress listed her new role in her resume posted on Spotlight. The entry related to her role in the upcoming movie has since been deleted, but a screenshot of the entry is available in the report.

Amybeth Hargreaves is a 30 years old, 6 feet tall actress from London. Her profile describes her to be Mediterranean, white with long light/mid brown coloured hair. She describes her voice character to be "friendly" and her voice quality to be "husky." It is still not clear whether she will appear without a helmet in the upcoming movie.

Fans of the franchise who have read the Canon novel "A New Dawn" will know that a female Stormtrooper may be rare in the Galaxy, but not unheard of. The Empire has been actively recruiting soldiers after the original Clonetroopers' rapid ageing required the induction of more troops quickly.

The concept of a female Stormtrooper is popular among "Star Wars" fans and a costume of a female Stormtrooper can be purchased in the range of $36 to $64. The costumes come specifically designed for women, with some costumes also coming with high heels.

The first official trailer of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" gave the fans a glimpse of the new armour design of the Stormtrooers and their blasters. A very brief scene in the trailer showed a group of Stormtroopers on a ship, preparing to enter a battle zone. On careful observation, fans will notice that one of the Stormtroopers is shorter than the others.

The opening scene of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer showed John Boyega in Stormtrooper armour. The producers have so far not given any hints that a female Stormtrooper will feature in the movie.
