“Spectre” star Daniel Craig has been confirmed to have a cameo scene in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The James Bond actor will play as a Stormtrooper and a report has released some details to his brief appearance in the film.

Daniel Craig’s presence in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is reportedly very brief as the actor had reportedly specifically “asked for a small role.” According to Galactic News One, as a Stormtrooper his scene calls for him to “meet with some shady guys, seduce the Rebel princess, and face-off against a guy dressed in back.” No further details were provided regarding the actor’s cameo performance.

Simon Pegg accidentally revealed Daniel Craig’s involvement in the movie. According to Star Wars Underworld, he had a “slip-up” during his interview with The Sun newspaper at the premiere of “Man Up.” "I wasn't a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper." he revealed. After realising his mistake Pegg quickly added, "I shouldn't have said that. “

Simon Pegg is also rumoured to have a small role in “Star Wars: the Force Awakens” thanks to his close relations with J.J. Abrams. According to Making Star Wars, Pegg is good friends with the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” director.

Daniel Craig was first rumoured to have a cameo scene in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” back in September 2014. Metro UK claimed the actor filmed his scenes in secret for two days at the Pinewood Studios set of the film. He was reportedly also spotted talking to Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) inside her dressign room.

However, the actor had remained mum about his involvement. Apparently, he also didn’t want anyone to know he is in the film. Per Galactic News One the actor wanted his role in the film to remain a secret since he reportedly asked his name to be left out of promotional materials.

Despite Simon Pegg’s confirmation, Making Star Wars commentators still want to know which type of Stormtrooper Daniel Craig had portrayed for his cameo scene. Whether the James Bond star will be a Flametrooper or a Snowtrooper remains uncertain, although reader Pal Erland Langsholt thought the actor played as a Flametrooper. However, it would still be difficult to point out who among the many masked Stormtroopers in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is Daniel Craig. Additionally, writer Jason Ward said Daniel Craig and Simon Pegg’s role doesn’t really “impact the overall film very much,” considering the film “has the advantage of having so many masked characters that you could fill half the cast with friends and nobody would know.”
