Rhye Copeman, the stunt coordinator for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” has shared a video clip showing what could be one of the fight scenes in the film. The interesting presence of a staff being used as a weapon reportedly suggests the clip is showing the climactic battle between Rey and Kylo Ren.

Rhye Copeman shared the video on his Instagram page four weeks ago along with the caption, “Blocking some fight beats.. #training #shinobi87beats.” According to Starwars7news, the clip is somewhat depicting a lightsaber duel. Viewers can see two men equipped with their own weapons as they prepare for a fight. The man on the right is holding a small weapon believed to be the same size as the traditional sword or lightsaber. Meanwhile, the man on the left is holding a weapon the size of a staff or a polearm.

According to the site, this weapon somehow resembles what Rey (Daisy Ridley) uses as her weapon in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” It is about the same size as the staff the actress is seen carrying in this promotional photo for the film.

Likewise, the slow movements of the fighter carrying the lightsaber-sized weapon supposedly suggest he is carrying a different type of lightsaber. StarWars7news stated that “his slower movements and the manner in which he wields his sword is certainly in line with the “cross-saber” seen in the TFA teaser.”

Rhye Copeman reportedly also hinted the identity of the fighter being Kylo Ren. The “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” stunt coordinator shared an interesting photo showing the LEGO image of the villain sith holding onto his cross-guard lightsaber. Copeman captioned the image, “Exactly how it looked on set. Ha fantastic #starwarsVII.”

What made the video more intriguing is reportedly its title. As seen in the clip, the title of the stunt being filmed reads, “Sequence 1 in Hero Fight.” However, it’s still uncertain whether a climactic duel between Rey and Kylo Ren will really occur in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” What’s for certain though is that Daisy Ridley trained with a staff for her fight scenes. According to Making Star Wars, Kathleen Kennedy had revealed during a press tour in Japan that the actress learned the bojutsu fighting style with the swordfight choreographer from “Game of Thrones.”
