A leaked concept art description of “Star Wars: Episode 9” suggests that the movie will return to Ahch-To. “The Force Awakens” established the significance of the planet, and there is still some more story to be told about it with regards to characters other than Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). The following article contains spoilers.

According to a report by Mike Zeroh [see below] a leaked concept art that may be used in the upcoming movie shows Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and a younger Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in what appears to be one of the huts at Ahch-To.

The scene shows Kylo Ren kneeling and facing a transparent Snoke. The Supreme Leader’s arm is reaching out to his apprentice, while Ben looks down.

There have been some reports that suggest that Lucasfilm is looking to cast Ed Harris as a Young Snoke. Since the character has been created using computer graphics it should be relatively easy to make the former Supreme Leader look younger.

Since the upcoming film is the last in the new trilogy, it is expected to connect all the three movies. Mike explains that there have been reports suggesting that Director JJ Abrams may film the upcoming movie in the same format as “Godfather 2.”

In “Godfather 2” the fans got to see the rise of Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) in the flashback, and the challenges Michael (Al Pacino) faced in the flash forward. What this format will allow Abrams to do is to show how Snoke tempted Kylo Ren to the Dark Side, earning the character some sympathy from the audience, or at least give the fans a better understanding of the character.

“Star Wars: Episode 9” is set to be released on Dec. 20, 2019 in the US. Cast members Daisy Ridley (Rey), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), and John Boyega (Finn) will be reprising their roles.
