New pictures from the production set of “Star Wars: Episode 9” have leaked online. The pictures tease a new jungle planet that may have a connection to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). One particular set piece appears to be from an important scene in “The Last Jedi.” The following article contains spoilers.

Filming is currently ongoing at the Black Park set near Pinewood Studios. Leaked pictures from the production set posted on MakingStarWars suggest that they are building a landscape of an “exotic” new alien planet.

According to the report, the producers initially wanted to film a few scenes at Laos for this new planet. However, it is not clear at the moment if a team from the film visited the country or if they will eventually travel there. At the moment the filming is taking place at the Black Park set.

Two sets have reportedly been built at Black Park. One of them is for the new jungle planet while the other featured the Millennium Falcon. A large prefabricated rock slab was spotted when it was being taken to the production set, and the report suggests that this is an indication that the new planet is a rocky, swampy jungle.

The rock, which was pictured while being transported to the set, may look familiar. The report notes that it is reminiscent of the rock on which Luke Skywealker (Mark Hamill) sat on in “The Last Jedi” in his last scene. There is no confirmation yet about this being the same rock.

The report notes that it is possible that Luke will appear to Rey (Daisy Ridley) as a Force Ghost, and the scene will feature him in some Ahch-To environment. It remains to be seen if this indeed is the reason why that rock is being brought to the set or if this is just a part of the environment of the new planet.
