A new theory about “Star Wars: Episode 8” looks at just how powerful Kylo Ren will be. The upcoming film is expected to focus on the journeys of Ben and Rey, as they train under their respective masters.

[Spoiler alert]

In a new video posted on YouTube, Mike Zeroh points out that Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) told General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) that it is time to continue Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) training. So, the big question now is how strong will the new villain be after his training.

According to Mike, Kylo Ren in “The Force Awakens” was “a little flawed.” He believes the reason why he lost to Rey (Daisy Ridly) in the duel was not just because he was wounded, and there could be more to it. The scene with the Darth Vader helmet revealed that the new villain is still unsure of himself, and he was also filled with self doubt after he killed his own father.

Will Kylo Ren find his focus and thus become more powerful in “Star Wars: Episode 8”? The character has always sought more power and his deepest fear is that he will not be as powerful as his grandfather.

Kylo Ren’s powers may be tested by his uncle Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in the upcoming film. Mike believes that the old Jedi Master will be much more powerful than his nephew. However, the villain may now be able to overpower Rey in their next encounter.

It is still not clear if the upcoming movie will show the actual training process of Kylo Ren or if it will just show the character as being fully trained and transformed into a powerful figure.

“Star Wars: Episode 8” has been directed by Rian Johnson and it is currently in the post production phase of development. The film is set to be released on Dec. 15, 2017 in Australia.
