Cast member Carrie Fisher appears to have inadvertently teased a funeral of a major character in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” Meanwhile, theories about Luke Skywalker and Rey continue to engage and entertain the fans, while they wait for the movie to be released.

[Spoiler alert]

At the “Star Wars Celebration” event in London recently, Fisher (Leia) was asked about the events that come in between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens” the actress responded with “Han’s funeral,” GeekFeed reports. Since Han Solo (Harrison Ford) was still alive in the beginning of the J.J. Abrams movie, it appears that the actress teased a future event.

Several leaks in the past have talked about the possibility of a Han Solo funeral being featured in the upcoming movie. While some fans are excited about the prospect of an emotional scene that honours a character who has been with the franchise since the very beginning, others remain sceptical.

Meanwhile, theories about what could happen in “Star Wars: Episode 8” continue to surface online. A video posted on the YouTube channel of Star Wars HQ talks about how the movie “Twelve O’Clock High” had a major influence on director Rian Johnson and it is also featured in the list of movies that the cast were supposed to watch before the camera started rolling.

The plot of “Twelve O’Clock High” revolves around a tough general who whips the pilots of a bomber unit into shape. The video speculates that this could be an indication of the training of Rey (Daisy Ridley) by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

The theory suggests that initially Rey may not like the training methods that Luke will use in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” Based on the plots of some of the other movies in the list, the video suggests that the next twist in the series could be a betrayal of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), who could regain his honour by killing Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis).
