A picture of a familiar space ship from the set of “Star Wars: Episode 8” has surfaced online. Meanwhile, a new report reveals that the home planet of a major dead character may be featured in the movie.

[Spoiler alert]

The director of the movie Rian Johnson has shared his first picture from the set on Tumblr. Johnson wanted to announce that almost a month of filming has been completed. The picture appears to be that of the Millennium Falcon, which was once driven by Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams). The ship was most recently in the hands of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and she may take ownership of the ship going forward.

According to a report by Making Star Wars, latest rumours indicate that Lando will be coming back in the forthcoming movie. It is still not clear which planet the set in Dubrovnik will depict in the movie, but the presence of Lando is being seen as an indication that the city is standing in for Han’s home world of Corelia.

With Han Solo dead, the planet Corelia in “Star Wars: Episode 8” would give the director the opportunity to add some Easter Eggs and pay homage to the fan favourite character. It will also help in giving some background information about Han and some of the other lead characters in the movie, like Rey.

The forthcoming movie is expected to explore the parentage of Rey and also explore some back story of the villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). The two characters had a brief encounter in the J.J. Abrams’ movie. Kylo’s parentage was revealed in the movie.

Pictures and videos from the sets of “Star Wars: Episode 8” have been leaking online, despite the best efforts of the security personnel. The leaks, however, are not substantive and do not give away any plot details.
