A new set of Advanced TIE Fighters and Bombers will be featured in “Star Wars: Episode 8,” according to a new report. The villain Kylo Ren will also get his own personal ship.

[Spoiler alert]

After focusing on the New Republic in the action sequences of “The Force Awakens,” the ships of the First Order may take centre stage in the sequel. According to a report by Making Star Wars, the upcoming film will introduce Advanced TIE Fighters and Bombers.

Kylo Ren (Adam driver) will get his own personal ship in the film. The character’s TIE Fighter has a pill like fuselage that is similar to the TIE Striker in “Rogue One.” This new ship has reportedly been built in the Pinewood studio to make the filming look realistic.

The report notes that Darth Vader also got his personal ship in the popular trench scene in the original trilogy. Kylo Ren is obsessed about his grandfather, and may be getting a personal ship in “Star Wars: Episode 8” as a way of following in the footsteps of the Sith Lord. The character is also said to have a cape that is inspired by his grandfather.

Another report about a LEGO set of a new TIE Bomber appears to confirm that new ships of the First Order will be unveiled this year. Sources have also reportedly revealed that there will be a new planet featured in the upcoming film. The report notes that it is possible that Kylo Ren will lead a squad of TIE Bombers to this new planet in his personal Fighter.

The report of Kylo Ren’s personal ship, and Advanced TIE Fighters and Bombers indicate a major space battle in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” More details will become available on Force Friday, when the official toy line of the upcoming movie will be unveiled.
