A new theory about “Star Wars: Episode 8” suggests that there won’t be a Force Ghost of a major character, as many fans have come to expect. Meanwhile, another set of videos of the filming in Ireland have leaked online.

[Spoiler alert]

Fans started to expect the Force Ghost of Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi after watching Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) vision in “The Force Awakens.” Since the first movie in the new trilogy featured the voice of the old Jedi Master it is only natural to expect the next big step in the second film.

However, according to a new theory posted on the YouTube channel of Mike Zeroh, although there have been a lot of rumours about Ewan McGregor coming back to reprise his role there has been little evidence to support the claims. There have been no reports about the actor being spotted at Pinewood Studios, where filming for “Star Wars: Episode 8” took place.

On the other hand, Mike points out that there is enough evidence to confirm that Yoda will return in the movie, possibly as a Force Ghost. The people who were involved with working the puppet of the old Jedi Master have reportedly confirmed that they have been hired to work on the new movie.

McGregor previously said that he has had no discussions to be a part of the new trilogy. The actor, however, did say that he was willing to reprise his role in a spin-off movie and would be willing to be back in the new trilogy too; if they figure out a way to bring back his character.

Meanwhile, more videos from the production set in Ireland of “Star Wars: Episode 8” have leaked online. The three new videos posted on Making Star Wars show some of the set pieces built for the movie and some of the crew members working.
