New behind the scenes photos from the production set of “Star Wars: Episode 8” have surfaced online. Princes Harry and William got an opportunity to visit the Pinewood Studios and take pictures with some of the cast members of the movie.

Pictures posted on the official Facebook page of The British Monarchy show the cast members posing for photos with the princes. Prince Harry can be seen sitting in one of the space ships that appears to be an A-Wing Fighter plane. There is also a picture of an X-Wing fighter plane in the background.

The cast members featured in the pictures include Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn) and Daisy Ridley (Rey). There is an actor dressed as the popular character Chewbacca. It is not clear if it was Peter Mayhew in the costume.

Prince Harry managed to get his picture taken, hugging Chewbacca. Prince William can be seen in another picture that shows the new droid BB-8 and he also interacted with Hamill.

“Star Wars: Episode 8” director Rian Johnson can also be seen in the pictures. The pictures from the set being shared online shows that the atmosphere is much more relaxed, when compared to “The Force Awakens.”

The princes were even allowed to play with the lightsaber props on the set. While Prince William chose a blue lightsaber that is generally used by the Jedi, Prince Harry decided to go with a yellow lightsaber that is similar in design to Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) lightsaber.

While the fans are busy speculating the plot of the next movie and look for clues in photos from the set, the cast members are having fun making the film. In a recent interview, cast member Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) said that he is getting to explore different things that he didn’t expect in this universe and he is having fun doing it, Aintitcool reports.

Isaac also said that “Star Wars: Episode 8” feels like a standalone movie. The movie is set to pick up from right where “The Force Awakens” left off in Ahch-To.
