'Star Wars 7': Millennium Falcon Still Being Rebuilt With New Design
"Star Wars: Episode VII" will be premiere in the U.S. on Dec. 18, 2015. Ahead of its much-anticipated release, few movie spoilers; set photos and supposed plot details, were making the rounds online. The recent reveal pertains to its iconic spaceship, the Millennium Falcon.
Han Solo and Chewbacca's ship is still being rebuilt following a new design. Vamien McKalin of Tech Times seems to suggest what fans have seen so far of the Millennium Falcon is not the finished product.
"We can't wait to see what the Millennium Falcon looks like when the design is finished because it is going to drive us wild and drive fans over the edge as well," Vamien said on his Sept. 24 article.
The writer's claim seems to match a photo showing the spacecraft in its disassembled state. As previously mentioned by the International Business Times, the Falcon was spotted over at the Greenham Commons set of "Star Wars: Episode VII." Aerial capture reveals two conflicting images of the ship. Previous leaked set photos show the Millennium Falcon fully assembled. Movie director J.J. Abrams even shared a video (below) showing the detailed exterior of the Falcon. However, the recent image leaked by 20 minutes last Sept. 20 that shows a skeletal version of the ship.
However, it's still uncertain when the photo was taken. It could be an old image recirculated, according to IBTimes. Likewise, it could have been disassembled since filming for its scenes in the sci-fi film has wrapped up already. Regardless, fans over at the Galactic Voyage also noticed a new rectangular satellite dish on the Millennium Falcon. Instead of the original circular satellite, the ship will supposedly use another Corellian dish reminiscent of the one seen in "A New Hope" from "Star Wars: Episode IV."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" will supposedly centre on the search for Luke Skywalker. Previous plot details from Badass Digest claim the Jedi Master has been missing for a total of 30 years since "Return of the Jedi." Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's character stumbles upon Luke's lightsaber when it fell from the sky over at Tatooine. Their discovery of the Jedi relic leads them on a journey to find its rightful owner. That's when they meet Han Solo and Chewbacca piloting the Millennium Falcon. Together, they start on a quest to find Luke Skywalker.
