Nintendo is not just celebrating the 20th anniversary of its longstanding “Pokemon” franchise. For its one-year anniversary, there are a number of new announcements for “Splatoon,” bringing new bundles, weapons, updates and more to the game.

Nintendo has recently announced a new pack featuring eight free weapons coming to
“Splatoon” on June 7. DualShockers reported that the free weapons pack is Sheldon’s Pick Vol. 2, following closely at the heels of the first volume last April.

“We heard that the new weapon combinations may allow you to discover even more new battle strategies,” said the developer on the new weapons pack. A screenshot of the weapons pack was released by the developer via the official “Splatoon” Tumblr, seen in the image above.

If that’s not enough, “Splatoon” players can get a load of the newest Wii U bundle offered for the title. While it has only been announced for Japan, the “Splatoon bundle premium pack already has the game preloaded on Wii U, and comes with the Squid Sisters amiibo figures.

It’s set to release on July 7, though no word has been said of any western release plans, My Nintendo News reported.

Also taking center stage in the announcements is the Squid Sisters CD coming alongside a bunch of new merchandise for “Splatoon.” Nintendo Inquirer has an image of the album’s cover, which features art for Marie and Callie. Titled Splatoon Live in Makuhari, the album will feature all of the songs that were performed in the live concert event last July, two additional songs, “Tokimeki Bomb Rush” and Sumisoae no Yoru” and a demo version of “High-Color Sinker/City of Color.”

Other merchandise coming sometime in July include “Splatoon” hats of various colours. Shirts, tote bag and armbands. The official Splatoon Twitter also teased some pins as part of the merchandise lineup.
