The plot of “Avengers 4” may be revealed by announcements about not only this movie but also other Marvel movies, like “Spider-Man: Far from Home.” The wall-crawling superhero will have some company in the film from two characters who are supposed to be dead. The following article contains spoilers from “Infinity War.”

According to a report by Vulture, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) will appear in the upcoming “Spider-Man” sequel. The two characters had died towards the end of “Infinity War,” after Thanos (Josh Brolin) snapped his fingers to wipe out half the life of the universe.

Spider-Man (Tom Holland) had also died in that film, so it will be interesting to see how these characters will be brought back to life. “Avengers 4” has to answer a lot of questions in order to bring back all the dead characters.

Filming of “Spider-Man: Far from Home” is currently ongoing in Europe. More details about the plot and the characters of the film may be revealed in the coming weeks and months. Sony at the moment has no comment on the casting.

As far as the story of “Avengers 4” is concerned, the title “Far from Home” should give a clue about what it could be. There is a popular theory that suggests that Thanos’ snap created an alternate universe. All the characters who disappeared aren’t actually “dead,” as per this theory, and instead they were all transported to this alternate universe. The trailer of either movie should confirm whether or not this is right.

“Spider-Man: Far from Home” is set to be released on July 5, 2019 in the US, whereas the untitled “Avengers” film will be released on May 3.

The other cast members of the “Spider-Man” sequel include Zendaya (Michelle Jones), Marisa Tomei (May Parker), and Michael Keaton (Vulture). Jake Gyllenhaal will be playing the main villain in the film.
