“Spectre,” the latest instalment to the James Bond film franchise, is bound to be full of action and fun, according to the movie’s producer Barbara Broccoli. In a recent interview, Broccoli talks about the dedication that lead star Daniel Craig has put into the film to portray Agent 007, including the physical challenge that he had to endure.

Recalling the production for “Spectre,” Barbara told People that Craig “gives it his all” during filming of the action sequences. Broccoli said that Craig “totally inhibits the character and has transformed it and given it complexity and humanity.” Broccoli added that the latest James Bond film instalment will contain “humor, wit, a huge amount of locations and a lot of action.”

Broccoli’s co-producer Michael G. Wilson also complimented the British actor who’s portrayed James Bond since the 2006 film “Casino Royale.” He told the publication that Craig really took on the physical challenge that came with his role in “Spectre” as Agent 007.

"The physical challenge was amazing. But Daniel went through it and he got the job done,” he said.

Among the anticipated action sequences in the upcoming movie include a car chase, which was reportedly filmed in Rome, and an explosion in Morocco. Wilson said “Spectre” went globe-trotting during its production. Among the many countries the cast and crew visited are Mexico City, Austria, London and Tangier.

The Austrian Christopher Waltz, who plays the villain Franz Oberhauser in “Spectre,” also revealed some details about the action sequences in the film in his cover interview for GQ magazine.

“The action sequences in Mexico are extravagant to say the least,” he said. Meanwhile, the scenes in Austria are what he called “traditional Bond action in the snow. “

Craig has reportedly put in so much physical effort in portraying his character that he even injured his knee while filming one of the action scenes in Mexico in April. According to The Guardian, the British star had to undergo arthroscopic surgery to fix his broken knee. A spokesperson for Eon Productions at that time had confirmed that he had undergone a minor procedure during a scheduled break. Craig then resumed filming for “Spectre” at Pinewood Studios on April 22.
