Sony is all set to launch two of its latest small portable compact camera with great performance in Australia and larger parts of Asia in July. Users may expect the Cyber-shot RX100 IV and RX100 II in the following countries - Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Philippines by the end of this month.

The RX100 IV will be priced at $948 (AU$1,268) while the RX10 II will be slightly expensive and will be available at $1,298 (AU$1,738) as reported by CNET.

As reported by Yahoo News, both RX100 IV and the RX10 II pack a 1-inch, 20-megapixel sensor which uses a new technology called the "stacked CMOS sensor." The latest CMOS sensors put both the light receptors at the top on the same level. This change accounts for potentially bigger and more sensitive pixels.

Both the cameras are capable of shooting at high frame rates - up to 960 frames per second for 2 seconds, allowing the users to capture slow motion shots. Along with fast frame rate, both cameras also have a high shutter speed -- up to 1/32,000 second. One of the main new features is 4K (3,840x2, 160-pixel) video capture for both.

Apart from the price the only perceptible difference between the two is the lens. RX10 II hosts a 200mm f2.8 lens, while the RX100 IV comes with f1.8 to f2.8 24-70mm. The RX10 II is rated at 14 frames per second for continuous shooting considerably higher than the previous model.
