PTCRB certified 20.1.A.0.48, 19.1.1.A.0.165 and 14.4.A.0.137 firmware builds for Xperia E1, Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia Z1S T-Mobile. But the newly certified firmware build on Xperia T2 Ultra indicates the possibility of Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

New Firmware Builds For Xperia E1 And Xperia Z1S

PTCRB certified a minor firmware build for Sony Xperia E1 carrying the build version 20.1.A.0.48. It is a minor firmware due to the small difference on the build number when compared to the previous 20.1.A.0.47 version. According to Xperia Blog, it is expected that the new firmware will bring some bug fixes for the smartphone.

Another device from Sony which received a certification from PTCRB is the Xperia Z1S sold in the United States via network carrier T-Mobile. The newly certified firmware has the build version 14.4.A.0.137 which could carry various changes and enhancements for the previous 14.4.B.0.37 build version. However, Xberia Blog believes there is no 100 percent assurance that it will be released soon.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Possible Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update

PTCRB also certified a new firmware build for Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, except the build number significantly jumped when compared to the previous build version. According to the official listing, the new firmware carries 19.1.1.A.0.165 build number that, according to Xperia Blog, could indicate an Android 4.4.4 KitKat update due to the changes on the numeral from 19.1.A.0.474 firmware.

But there is no concrete evidence yet aside from the build number difference if it could bring Android 4.4.4 KitKat. As of date, Xperia T2 Ultra is upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the unique "Transfer Apps to SD card" feature added by Sony Mobile.

In case Android 4.4.4 KitKat is planned for Xperia T2 Ultra, here are some features based on Xperia Z1 smartphone:

- Android 4.4.4 KitKat latest enhancements and security updates from Google
