Device consumers in the US can now purchase the available unlocked version of the Sony Xperia Z smart phone at the Sony US web site with a price of $629.99. The latest Sony smart phone will reportedly have a launch as well at T-Mobile this summer with the HSPA+ support.

The Sony Xperia Z price is expected to be considerably lower at T-Mobile since the US network operator does not require the subscribers to purchase the smart phone up front. The smart phone was recently spotted passing through the FCC where its version includes the T-Mobile branded user manual that highlights the carrier's specific feature of Wi-Fi calling.

The document confirms the existence of the AWS LTE and penta-band HSPA+ compatibility indicating that Sony Xperia Z will be available at T-Mobile. Though the network company has not confirmed the Sony Xperia Z release yet, an official announcement is expected to be granted soon.

Sony Xperia Z features and specifications were unveiled at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas. The Sony smart phone has a 5-inch screen display with 1080p resolution, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE, NFC and 13MP camera with the Exmor RS mobile image sensor.

The smart phone runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with an internal storage capacity of 16GB, available color choices of black, white and purple plus the impressive waterproof design that definitely attracts the consumers. For instance, a Sony ad in Prague shows a woman in the shower using the Sony Xperia Z smart phone.

Meanwhile, Sony has also lowered the price of another high-quality smart phone. The Sony Xperia ZL price of $759.99 was dropped down to $629.99.
