The Sony Xperia XZ was unveiled on Oct. 19 and reports suggest that buyers are happy with their purchase. Some critics have even said that the handset can very well compete against top smartphone brands and have recommended the device.

With an enviable camera, the Sony Xperia XZ could be the perfect Christmas gift in case somebody is crazy about taking selfies or photos to capture every special moment. When it comes to shooting action shots, the Xperia XZ could be the preferred handset. It sports a new design, top-quality camera and incredible features.

Users who prefer to have their smartphones without protective cases, the Sony Xperia XZ’s high purity ALKALEIDO material provides the toughness users want. It also gives the phone a cool touch of brush metal, writes Irish Examiner.

The camera the Xperia XZ boasts of is a massive 23MP primary camera with phase detection, laser autofocus and LED flash. The geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama features are also available. The equally mammoth 13MP secondary camera supports 1080p and HDR.

The video recording is top-class and the rear camera performs really well in low light conditions. The highly-sensitive secondary camera has wide angle lens that lets users fit in more in the frame. Rappler put the Xperia XZ through a tough camera test and the handset came out with flying colours.

The Sony Xperia XZ comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 2900 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, Quick Charge 3.0, 3GB RAM, 32/64GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. It has a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and has the Triluminos Display and X-Reality Engine.
