Playstation recently released the details on the features of the upcoming Playstation 4 system software update 3.00 dubbed Kenshin. Aside from the increased cloud storage capacity, the system update will also roll out features that will enhance the social experience on the system.

The official blog of Playstation details all the features included in the 3.00 beta that is coming soon. The first of which is the increased online storage capacity which changed from 1GB to a whopping 10GB for PS Plus Members. What this means is that PS Plus members can now have more save data from their account. Aside from the story capacity increase, a new Auto-Upload menu has been added to Application Saved Data Management.

The 3.00 update will also introduce a new events hub. The new feature will give players a summary of the games they play the most. This could include raid events, double XP deals, new DLC announcements and many more. Players will be notified when new announcements or updates get released.

The update will also roll out the Communities feature which allows players to create a group with access to a message board and other group based features. Perhaps one of the best additions that the Communities feature will bring is the ability to create or join parties through the Now Playing Area. The Now Playing screen will be slightly altered to show more details on the activities of users' friends lists.

Aside from the new added features, the 3.00 update will also update the Friends app. Once the update rolls out, the Friends app will be having a Favourite Groups option that allows the user to organize their friends list. Aside from that, users can also send a request to watch a friends play through of the game.

Gamespot notes that the participants in the Playstation beta program will be getting the 3.00 update “very soon.” Sony however, did not specifiy a release date for the official update for all users.
