FX outlaw biker drama series has been on the most brutal season yet, with "Sons of Anarchy" season 7 premiere hitting the show's all-time high with 6.2 million viewers. Now that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and his motley crew of bikers are back in Charming, series creator Kurt Sutter talks about the repercussion of Gemma's (Katey Sagal) action after telling Jax that the Chinese gang is responsible for Tara's death.

One of TV's most violent shows, "Sons of Anarchy" boasts the highest body count with more bodies piling up for its last season. With Jax vowing to wreak havoc on those who put a hit on his wife, Gemma is keeping her secret from his son no matter what cost as he pointed the blame to an innocent man.

During his recent interview with The Daily Beast, showrunner Kurt Sutter opened up about the show's attitude toward violence and his understanding about Gemma's struggle to keep her family. With her capacity to compartmentalize, SAMCRO's matriarch knows how to justify every act of violence and lies that she made in order to protect the people she loves.

But with so many lies and secrets, Gemma will eventually crack in the last season of the show with Jax finds out her involvement in Tara's demise. Starting a brutal war between Lin's Chinese gang and SAMCRO, she didn't realize that Jax killing one person to avenge his wife will not stop him to become a Grim Reaper.

"I don't think she realized the depth of Jax's grief, and she's not privy to all the dynamics of what's going on between the varying factions," Sutter told the Web site. "She's not privy to the inner workings of all those relationships. So it sets off this series of events that she didn't have the awareness to understand where it's all going."

Sutter also explained that doing the fork scene is essential to the show for the audience to know how Jax is coping with his wife's death. His capacity of vengeance and violence is beyond measure and fans have to stick around to see how he gets to the end of the show.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 7, episode 2 returns to FX on Sept. 16, Tuesday at 10 P.M.
