Currently on production for "Sons of Anarchy" seventh and final season, lead star Charlie Hunnam created a lot of buzz when he was cast last year to play the kinky billionaire Christian Grey in the highly anticipated film, "Fifty Shades of Grey." But after a month of signing as one of the lead star, Hunnam walked away from the role for not agreeing to join the Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart "showmance" with co-star Dakota Johnson.

With so many theories flooding the news on why he walked away from the titled role, British actor revealed recently that its "heartbreaking" to play the famous character. Celebrity Laundry reported "that because the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart romance during the Twilight era created so much buzz and media attention, Charlie was being asked to participate in a similar "showmance" with Dakota Johnson, his co-lead in "Fifty Shades of Grey.""

A very private person, the 34-year-old star reportedly quits the film on its early stage due to scheduling conflicts and family issues during that time. Living with his current girlfriend Morgana McNelis, taking the role means having a fake relationship with Johnson just for publicity purposes, which is not what the actor wants.

Best known for his role as Jax Teller in FX biker drama series, the British hunk is always careful on selecting his roles and his projects, as he is done playing the "pretty boy" roles. With so much buzz surrounding the bestselling trilogy, the media frenzy on his casting is too much for the actor to bear is one of the few reasons why he ditched the role which is now being played by Irish actor Jamie Dornan.

"He dropped out of the project because he didn't want to be typecast," a source told People magazine in an interview. "He didn't want the Robert Pattinson-esque attention that would come along with taking on this role."

His love for acting is what draws him to make movies and not the fame that goes with it, now the actor is busy filming his last season with "Sons of Anarchy" and finished filming his upcoming thriller movie "Crimson Peak" with Guillermo del Toro.
