Solange Knowles did not post the circulating tweet about her elevator fight with Jay Z. Beyonce’s sister, who was caught on camera viciously attacking her brother-in-law in an elevator, has remained mum after the footage was made public.

“he tried the right one.I keep telling yall that n**** ain’t bout that life. u hit my sis I hit u hoe. Talk what you know! y’all don’t know s***,” the purported tweet reads.

The tweet, which was screenshot, has been circulating online since the footage was posted by TMZ, as if explaining what prompted the attack.

However, Solange never tweeted the said message. Although it looks like it came from her official Twitter page, the post was never posted on her account. Moreover, it never really existed.

“I can confirm that Solange did not tweet that; that is not a real tweet,” her rep told TMZ.

It’s still unknown why she attacked Jay Z, but it appears that she has now severed her relationship with Beyonce after she deleted all pictures of the “Crazy in Love” singer from her Instagram account. The only photo left of her sister was one that she posted 15 months ago.

Although Beyonce took the car home with Solange after the now-infamous elevator fight, leaving Jay Z to go home in a separate car, she has showed that she is taking her husband’s side after they were spotted attending the NBA game of Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat in New York on Monday.

Meanwhile, The Standard Hotel in New York, where the elevator fight was shot, has issued a statement, condemning the leak of its security footage.

“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests,” it said.

“We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”
