On the sets of “Magic Mike XXL,” Joe Manganiello suffered a bicep injury. The actor revealed that his fiancée Sofia Vergara threatened to leave him if she sees him at the gym after the injury.

Manganiello talked to People and shared how he suffered the injury on the sets on “Magic Mike XXL.” “On take one of my finale routine, which we rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed, my dance partner did something unrehearsed, and the result was me hearing a loud rip and a pop,” Manganiello stated. He said that it was his bicep.

The actor continued to shoot despite the injury. He completed the scene which involved “a sex swing with monkey bars on top.” The shot took four and a half hours and he finished. However, his fiancée Vergara was not at all happy with what he did.

The actor revealed that Vergara was present on the set that day and when they got back to his trailer she told him that they are done, if he hits the gym tomorrow. He added that Vergara told her that she will leave him.

During the interview, Manganiello also talked about Matt Bomer, his co-actor. He said that they both were in drama school together. “Now, at this moment in our careers, where scene one, take one, Joe, you’re going to get naked and cannonball Channing [Tatum] into a pool – that education really paid off!”

Meanwhile, Matt Bomer said to The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn’t get free advice from publicist husband Simon Halls. He said that they are good at separating things. The actor said he needs counselling too, but he has his own publicist. Bomer added that they have three children so they don’t have time to talk about work.

“Magic Mike XXL” releases on July 1, 2015. The movie stars Kevin Nash, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Channing Tatum and Matt Bomer.
