Amid preparations for Steve Irwin’s first gala dinner in the US, Bindi Irwin took to social media to share a couple of mysterious messages that left everyone guessing.

Over the weekend, the social media went abuzz with the 17-year-old’s Instagram post, wherein she uploaded the quote, “Blood Makes You Related, Loyalty Makes You Family.” She captioned it with the hashtag #ThoughtToday.

Social media users are wondering whether Bindi’s Instagram post was related to reports that her late father’s brother-in-law, who served as general manager of Australia Zoo, left the position after disharmony with Steve’s wife, Terri. Other reports claim that Frank Muscillo, married to Steve’s sister Joy, was fired.

According to the Courier-Mail, the Muscillo family, which includes Joy and their adult children Rebecca and James, has cut ties with the Sunshine Coast attraction. The rift between Frank and Terri allegedly began as early as 2008.

Whilst some social media users believe that Bindi is being "brainwashed," others showered Bindi with words of support. Instagram user 12jess wrote, “I feel really sorry for your (dad’s) family. I wonder how your dad is feeling looking down on it all.” Another, who goes by the name hailey_michelle_stokan commented, “so true @bindisueirwin we support you and your family 200% don’t worry about magazine articles or anything we love and adore the 3 of you. (D)on’t let anyone dry bring you down. (S)ending all our love always.”

On Sunday, Bindi also wrote on her Twitter account, “We are given the gift to live in a world where we may be anything we choose, couldn’t we choose to be kind to one another?”

The “Dancing With The Stars” also received encouragement from her fans for this status update, which has received more than 1,700 likes.

On a lighter note, Bindi also provided updates on the inaugural Steve Irwin Gala dinner in Los Angeles on May 21.
