Snoop Dog has been engaging in the business world lately starting with his investment in Reddit as well as with stock trading platform Robinhood. Now the rapper is said to be branching out into investing in what he knows best, marijuana. According to a report, Snoop Dogg is starting with a $25 million fund for a startup on cannabis-related technology.

Sources told Techcrunch that Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Broadus, Jr., is trying to raise funds to invest in cannabis startups. One source claimed the rapper plans to raise $25 million to fund the growing marijuana industry. However, the size of Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion’s investment still remains uncertain because his startup is said to be relatively still new. According to the site, his agency is still trying to raise the funds and his representatives reportedly also didn’t reply for comments when asked by Techcrunch.

However, Snoop Dogg’s marijuana startup will reportedly not aid in the drug’s production and cultivation. According to writer Ryan Lawler, it will instead focus on “tech affiliated with the growing legal cannabis industry.” “Having a fund specifically to invest in cannabis companies makes a lot of sense, since Snoop probably knows more about weed than anyone,” he said. According to Lawler, Snoop Dogg is the best person who can evaluate the distribution, produce and consumption of marijuana. The rapper has reportedly already spent years evaluating all forms of cannabis products.

The rapper also made known his love for marijuana during an AMA chat on Reddit following the legalisation of marijuana as recreational use in Washington on Dec 6, 2012. According to Huffington Post, the chat was mostly about marijuana, from how many blunts the rapper can smoke daily, who rolls his marijuana blunts to how many days he’s gone without smoking weed. When asked for the longest days he’s gone without smoking marijuana, Snoop Dogg revealed he went as far as 164 days without it. However, Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion also revealed during the chat that he can smoke 81 blunts of the cannabis in a day of the week, which sums up to 567 marijuana blunts in a week.
