After the latest Snapchat upgrade, a ton of stories and blog posts have been published about various Snapchat tricks, tips and hacks. Some articles teach you hidden features of the social media app while others tutor users about the new features that take time and effort to discover.

Fret not, as this article will be different. This will not be about the new Snapchat emojis or filter hacks either. This article will be about the websites that complement the Snapchat app, which has 150 million daily users as of June according to Bloomberg.

Here are the three legitimate websites that every Snapchat user should visit:

1. Snap Memories

You can have a compilation of your monthly Snapchat stories emailed to you instead of saving them on your smartphone. Thanks to an independent company, Ellie, you can relive your Snapchat stories, just as their tagline promises, despite your mobile phone’s limited storage capacity.

To take advantage of this free service, you need to provide your first and last names, Snapchat username and email address on Ellie’s website. Ellie will then add you on Snapchat before compiling your Snapchat stories, which it will then email to you.

“We will have one of our accounts add you on Snapchat so that we download your stories for you. If we do not add you on Snapchat, we will not be able to download your stories for you,” its website reads.

Ellie launched an app version of Snap Memories but it is only designed for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users at the moment. Once downloaded on your iOS device, the Ellie app stores your Snapchat stories so you can “re-watch them whenever or forever.”

2. Geo-filter.com

If you’re tired of the common geo-filters on Snapchat, you can make your personalised geo-filters on this website. You can either design it yourself through the website’s user-friendly platform or hire a professional artist to create a custom geo-filter for you, your event or your business. Designing a custom-made geo-filter could cost you as little as US$19.99 (AU$26.23).

“With our help, you can impress your guest, friends or customers with a design that is truly stunning and unique!” the website says.

“Using our user friendly and fun design tools, anyone can create a Snapchat Geofilter that adds flare to your Snapchat pictures. If you want professionally designed new Snapchat filters, our experienced team of creatives will create a stunning design for you that will meet your specific needs.”

3. Late Night Snap Hacks

This website lets you trick your Snapchat friends into thinking that you are out enjoying the night out partying – even from your bed. Created by the mattress-company-slash-sleep-startup Casper, the website provides 10 scenes you can record with your phone and modify with filter, captions and doodles on Snapchat.

By the time this list gets online, Snapchat’s user base may have increased tenfolds or somebody with another Snap-worthy idea could translate into an app or a website. Who knows. But this is the list, thus far.
