Sir Elton John has added Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion as one of his show locations for his “All The Hits Tour” in the country on December. The balladeer is set to perform a series of intimate music as he returns to the hall more than three decades since his last concert.

It was 1982 when Elton last serenaded his fans at the Hordern Pavilion, according to News.com. au. His first performance at the concert hall was in 1979, during his third visit to Sydney. Now the veteran entertainer is ecstatic over his return to one of the country’s biggest arenas.

“I have played there so many times over the years, before the Sydney Entertainment Centre was around, and I can’t wait to return,” he said in the News.com.au report.

“I thought that since we are closing the Entertainment Centre in Sydney, it would be only right to add the Hordern Pavilion to the 2015 December schedule. This is another piece of my long history with Sydney, the Hordern was our original ‘go-to gig,’” he added.

However, his performance at the Hordern Pavilion is expected to be the smallest among Elton’s scheduled December shows in Australia. It’s believed the gig will also include a special dinner to be held on a nearby hall. The dinner is said to be a gift to the famous musician from his long-time friend Australian promoter Michael Chugg and chef Matt Moran.

Aside from the Hordern Pavilion, Elton has added some of his other favourite Australian locations for his “All The Hits Tour” on December. These include a concert at the Qantas Credit Union Arena, where the old Sydney Entertainment Centre used to stand before its demolition.

Elton will also hold a farewell concert at Australia’s Hope Estate in Hunter Valley, where live music is usually being played to its diners. John’s scheduled concert on Dec. 5 at 4:00 p.m. is also announced on the estate’s official website. The balladeer will reportedly perform a selection of songs from his classic album “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”

In a statement shared by Hope Estate, Elton credits Australia as one of the continents where he has some of his most memorable concert moments. The musician recalled Australia as one of his favourite countries to perform ever since his first performance in 1971.

“The Australian audiences always seem to bring out the best in us, and I am certain there will be many more fantastic evenings when we visit in December,” he said.
