Simmers are now discussing the supernatural elements on the official forum pages of "The Sims 4" such as vampires and mermaids after the patch update featuring the return of swimming pools and ghost occult life state. Will magical powers and items return on the December free patch for the game?

Supernatural Elements Discussed By Simmers At Official Forum Page Of 'The Sims 4'

Simmers are happy after EA and Maxis released another free patch for "The Sims 4" that featured the return of swimming pools—missing content on the base game. Now, players are discussing the possible release of an update containing supernatural elements such as vampires, mermaids and premium magical items.

Other mechanics have been suggested as well for supernatural elements and occult states such as a tick box to disable occult Sims from being generated at any time during play and addition of moon cycle. It seems like Simmers have missed the occult states due to the appearance of ghosts from the October patch. Here some of the occult life states found on previous game titles that can be played via Create-A-Sim mode or triggering appropriate conditions:

- Ghosts

- Zombies

- Vampires

- Werewolves

- Genies

- Fairies

- Witches

- Imaginary Friends

- PlantSim

- Mermaids.

Non-playable occult Sims were also featured in previous game titles including Bonehilda, mummies and Bigfoot, while other effects can turn playable Sims into temporary occult life state like becoming a Tragic Clown by using LLAMA transportation too often or becoming a zombie via elixir made by a witch.

Expansion Packs For Previous Titles With Major Supernatural Elements

Three game releases for "The Sims 4" franchise feature an expansion pack that adds major supernatural elements. Here are the expansion packs outside the "The Sims Medieval" game title.

1. Makin' Magic was the seventh and final expansion pack for the first game and was released on Oct. 28, 2003. It added charm and spells for Sims and other elements such as magical NPCs and in-game items.

2. Apartment Life was the eighth and final expansion pack for the second game and was released on Aug. 26, 2008. It brings apartment lots and the occult life state "witch" requested by players. Apartment Life was the first to feature witches to fly using broomsticks and cast spells depending on specific alignment—good, neutral or evil.

3. Supernatural is the seventh expansion pack added on the third game released in September 2012. It features several magical elements such as moon cycles, fairies and auras, vampires, werewolves and more. Players were able to create gothic-style homes, charm or hex other Sims or get a reading from the gypsy caravan.

EA and Maxis have planned three free updates before the year ends with two released in October and November. As of this time, new career paths and rewards are the only hints given on what the December patch will bring to the game.
