'The Sims 4' Mac Version

The Mac version of "The Sims 4" was not released during the official launch of the Windows version, but the game developers confirmed they are currently working on it. Once released, the Mac version of the game will have similar features on what is found on Windows version plus upcoming free patches on November and December.

"We know our players on Mac are looking to hear more. We are working on it," announced via official website of the game. However, no specific release date yet has been announced by EA or Maxis regarding the Mac version of the game. But upcoming patches have been hinted already, which started in October and will continue until December 2014.

Mac Version Likely Features

It is likely that "The Sims 4" for Mac will have all features found on the Windows counterpart such as improvements on Create-A-Sim and build tools. In addition, the game for Mac is expected to receive all free updates that have been given to Windows players.

1. October patch included Ghosts for "The Sims 4" with options to befriend and invite them to join the household. Other game mechanics include reviving a ghost, special behaviours from ghosts and how to banish them.

2. Star Wars Costume Set has been included on the October patch with outfits based from Prince Lea, Luke Skywalker X-wing, Master Yoda and Darth Vader. New eye colours and minor bug fixes have been added as well.

3. November patch for the game will include swimming pools that were not added on the base game. It is expected to be added on both Mac and Windows versions.

4. December patch will introduce new Career paths and rewards for all Sims.

5. Gnomes are expected to return and unlikely to stay in gardens only.

EA confirms all of these updates released from October to December 2014 are free of charge. Players will only need to log in to Origin and download the patches.
