Simon Pegg hinted that fans may no longer have to wait for a third trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” considering the film is due for release soon on Dec. 18. He mentioned this during a recent interview with Yahoo Movies, where he also shared his excitement about being part of the film.

Pegg only has a few words to say to fans who are anticipating the release of a third trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” During his interview with Yahoo Movies, he acknowledged the excitement surrounding the film, and said that people should just wait for the movie to come out instead of waiting for another preview to be released.

“People are so desperate to see it — it’s like another trailer is just going to be more footage that’s gonna kind of spoil it if you watch it,” he said. “I just wish people would hold tight and not worry so much about seeing it so quickly,” he added, after pointing out that the film will be out in U.S. cinemas in four months’ time.

However, a third trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is scheduled for release in the fall, according to Screenrant . Lucasfilm reportedly did not release the preview during the San Diego Comic-Con since they still have ample time to cut together another teaser. Instead, a behind-the-scenes footage for “The Force Awakens” was revealed during the convention.

The footage for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was not initially supposed to be shown to the public, according to Star Wars Underworld . Pegg said the footage was supposedly just intended as a keepsake for the casts and crew, so they have something to remind them of the fun experience they had working on the film. Regardless, the actor admitted his relief at the footage having been revealed to the public, since he could at least now acknowledge with pride that he was a part of the film.

Pegg has a cameo role in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” but declined to reveal any details about his character when quizzed by Yahoo Movies. He is reportedly still bound by contract to remain tight-lipped on specific details.
