Shakira's partner footballer Gerard Piqué, who plays as a center-back for FC Barcelona, was in attendance during the Colombian singer-songwriter's tenth album launch held at the Hotel W in Barcelona, Spain, on March 20.

A report by Just Jared said that the 27-year-old footballer accompanied Shakira at the release party for the singer's self-titled album which officially arrived in music stores on March 25.

Piqué and Shakira reportedly met in 2010. The couple shares the same birthday, which is Feb 2. He is 10 years younger than her, but despite the huge age difference, the duo seemed very much in love. When Shakira recorded the music video for 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa anthem, Piqué made a cameo appearance, along with other great names in football. It was a year after they were rumoured to be dating that Shakira confirmed their relationship after she posted a picture with him on her social media accounts. A year later, Piqué and Shakira became parents to their first child, Milan, who was born on Jan 22 in Spain.

Shakira's New Album

In all Shakira's previous albums, she has either written or co-written all of her songs, until the latest albums, Yahoo Music reported. Due to Shakira's other responsibilities such as serving as a judge in the hit reality music show The Voice as well as her parenting duties to her son Milan, she had to hire other musical geniuses who have previously worked for Katy Perry and Pitbull in the past.

Even though she was really busy with all her side hustles, Shakira was able to write a song dedicated to her beau, Piqué. Yahoo Music further reported that she had written a track titled 23, which she dedicates to Piqué. Shakira apparently met the footballer when he was only 23 years old.

With her new album, Shakira isn't allowed to do music videos with sexy men because Piqué no longer allow her to do so. However, the FC Barcelona centre-back wouldn't mind Shakira getting all sexy with Rihanna, as she did in the music video for their collaborative track titled Can't Remember to Forget You.
