It’s been a big week for boob tube fans, as three of the most popular series hinted big comebacks on the small screen. News that “Sex and the City,” “7th Heaven” and “Will & Grace” may potentially return tickled their viewers’ fancy, especially because it’s been a decade since the shows were last seen on television.

“Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker reportedly said that the main cast of the HBO series is open to a reunion either on TV or at the movies. [READ: “‘Sex and the City’ return remains a ‘possibility,’ says Sarah Jessica Parker”] Parker, who played the role of the columnist Carrie Bradshaw, shared the screen with co-stars Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon. “I don’t think any of us have said no,” the 51-year-old “Divorce” star told the Press Association. “I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved.”

The sitcom, which began airing in 1998, followed the story of the four feisty, modern and fashionable women who live in New York. Its 94 episodes – the last of which aired in 2004 – tackled career, motherhood, love and of course, sex. “Sex and the City” was adapted for the big screen in 2008 and a sequel was released two years after.

“7th Heaven” revisited
From a sex-filled series to a wholesome show, “7th Heaven” also became a popular topic this week among TV addicts. The much-loved, family-oriented show wrapped up nearly ten years ago, and its followers are clamouring for a reboot. Catherine Hicks, who played the ideal mum Annie Camden, admitted that she would very much be interested to reprise her role. However, there’s a catch.

She said she’d only play Annie again if co-star Stephen Collins (Rev. Eric Camden) won’t be part of the series. The 65-year-old actress actually preferred her on-screen husband to be dead. “I don't know,” she told TMZ. "I mean, we'd have to open with Stephen's coffin.” She’s even open to renaming the show “6th Heaven,” or explore a “new boyfriend for Annie.”

In October 2014, Collins was embroiled in a child molestation scandal after an audio tape surfaced to the media, which allegedly contained his admission to past sexual abuse of minor. He admitted to People in December 2014 that he had "inappropriate sexual conduct with three female minors" in 1973, 1982 and 1994. In addition to Hicks and Collins, the “7th Heaven” cast included their on-screen children Jessica Biel (Mary), Barry Watson (Matt), Beverly Mitchell (Lucy), David Gallagher (Simon) and Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie).

“Will & Grace” reunion
Undoubtedly one of the funniest sitcoms to ever grace the small screen, “Will & Grace” followed the story of Will (Eric McCormack) , a gay lawyer and interior designer Grace (Debra Messing), who have been best friends since college. Their unconventional relationship is further spiced up by their other pals: socialite Karen (Megan Mullally) and flamboyant gay Jack (Sean Hayes).

Ten years after its last episode aired, the show’s fans were reminded just how hilarious the foursome could be when a new pro-Hillary Clinton video was released on Monday night, hours before the first presidential debate. The 10-minute clip [watch below] revolved around presidential choices, with both Will and Grace voting for Hillary. They can’t wrap their heads around the fact that people are even considering Donald Trump, when Karen waltzed in their apartment campaigning for him. When Jack arrived – ranting about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce news – Will and Grace tried to convince him to support Clinton. Jack, an “uneducated white male who happens to vote in Pennsylvania,” didn’t seem to care at first about the US elections, but in the end opted to vote for Clinton when Will informed him that Katy Perry is supporting the female candidate.

The video, which has since earned more than 4 million likes in YouTube, created a flurry among “Will & Grace” fans who hope that the show would be given another lease of life. However, there is no word yet from the cast or NBC, where the sitcom was originally aired.
