Serena Williams has successfully defended her Miami Open crown for the third straight time. Williams’ recent victory at Crandon Park Tennis Centre also marked the eighth time that she has won the title and to celebrate her recent success, the top-ranked female tennis player reportedly got together with rumoured boyfriend coach Patrick Mouratouglou.

According to a report by New York Post’s Page Six, Williams and Mouratoglou had a little outing at Prime 112 in South Beach on April 5. It was a day after Williams claimed her third consecutive Miami Open title. The report said that World No. 1 and and her coach Mouratoglou feasted on brunch before they took pleasure watching the men’s singles finale of the 2015 Miami Open between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, in which the Serbian athlete won.

On April 4, Williams has dispatched Spain’s Carla Suarez-Navarro in the women’s singles finals match. Williams only needed 56 minutes to claim her eighth Miami Open title after beating Suarez-Navarro in straight sets 6-2 6-0. With her recent victory in Miami, Williams is the only player to have won the Miami Open title eight times. She also holds the record of the most finals appearance with 10.

“It feels really good to have eight under my belt, can’t say I thought I would win eight, especially in the beginning of the week,” Williams said in a post-match press conference after the match. “It just feels weird, definitely feels good, and I’m happy to be able to get through it.”

The 19-time grand slam champion will take part in her next tournament at the 2015 Mutua Madrid Open from May 1 to May 10, 2015. Williams, alongside Maria Sharapova, leads the women’s field in the 14th edition of the tournament. Williams is a two-time champion at the Madrid Open.

A total of 51 players from women’s tour including Simona Halep, Caroline Wozniacki, Ana Ivanovic, Eugenie Bouchard, and Agnieszka Radwanska have all confirmed their participation at the 2015 Mutua Madrid Open. Australian top-ranked players Sam Stosur and Casey Dellacqua will also be playing at the Caja Magica in the Spanish capital. The men’s field, on the other hand, is led by defending champion Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray.
