Former Disney stars are making a name for themselves in Hollywood. The biggest and brightest stars so far include "Hannah Montanna's", Miley Cyrus and "Wizards of Waverly Place", Selena Gomez. Though both are quite busy with making films and albums, Selena one-upped Miley when she takes her role in the film, "Hotel Transylvania."

Earlier reports announced Miley Cyrus as the voice behind Dracula's daughter in the upcoming vampire flick, "Hotel Transylvania" which would also be starring the famous comedian, Adam Sandler.

However, a few major changes have been made and rather than Miley playing or voicing the lead role, Selena will be taking her place.

Miley's camp has no comment with regards to her sudden decision to pull out of the project however one source did say that she's currently busy with her music career.

"Miley is at work on her album and wants 2012 to be all about the music," shared an insider to Hollywood Life. "That's why she decided not to do the movie."

Though it's one movie out of the 19-year old celebrity's' upcoming flicks this 2012, Miley Cyrus still has another movie to laugh about and that would be her movie, "LOL: Laugh out Loud" and an action movie, "So Undercover."

As for "Hotel Transylvania" which has got a new talent on board, Selena is set to star alongside Adam Sandler, Count Dracula. She'll be playing his daughter who lives in a resort set up by Adam that houses all of the classic monsters.

The fun only begins when a human teenage boy discovers the resort and worse, falls in love with Mavis played by Gomez. Other members of the cast include Kevin James, Cee Lo Green and Andy Samberg. "Hotel Transylvania" is said to hit theaters by September of this year.

This would not be the first film Selena Gomez will be working in. Apart from her "We own the Night" world tour, Gomez is also busy filming "Spring Breakers" alongside James Franco and Emma Roberts. Gomez is also said to star in the film adaptation of the book, "13 Reasons Why".

With her music career on hold, it's no doubt that Selena is now focusing on her film career and loving up her beau, Justin Bieber.
