Rumoured to be dating dating EDM artist Zedd, Selena Gomez opens up what she likes about him. The young singer actress shared that she especially likes that Zedd is so talented and hands-on with his music.

Earlier this week, Zedd appeared at the Alli Simpson Show on Radio Disney and provided some sweet adjectives for Zedd, who she collaborated on with the song “I Want You To Know” and who is someone she is currently being linked to, after her tumultuous relationship with Justin Bieber fell apart. Selena Gomez calls Zedd a “cute little German” and thinks he is both funny and sweet. Having worked with him, Selena also said she really admire Zedd’s dedication to his craft and all the works he engaged in.

“I respect his vision because he has a way of knowing how important his role is as an EDM artist, and he doesn’t spend most of his time traveling the world DJing,” she said. “He really spent so much time on this record. He wanted everything, from the lyrical content, to who sang it and how they sang it,” she added.

She also corroborated the story that Zedd once shared in an interview with regard the circumstances of their first meeting. Selena said they met because they were recording on the same builing and Zedd needed to use her bathroom. She said that bathroom incident propelled them to talk, share music and then get to know each other more. She said everything took place “organically.” Selena also said that Zedd being so in tune with the meaning of his songs makes him great.

Last month, the 25-year-old DJ sat down with AMP Radio and shared that he was buying stuff for his house with his engineer when he had the sudden urge to pee. He walked into a studio to do so and saw the head of his label, John, who also just signed Selena. John introduced him to Selena and proposed that they make a song together. He said everything went so fast that in a week’s time, they were already recording a song collaboration.
