Selena Gomez is reportedly trying to get over her ex-flame, Justin Bieber. According to recent reports, the 22-year-old singer had spent her year-end holidays away from the young star and in the company of close friends.

The 'Come & Get It' singer is presently on a break from her on and off boyfriend Bieber. She is reportedly using the time off to bond with other people around her. She has spent her entire Christmas holidays in Texas with her family and the New Year with close friends and models, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, in Dubai.

Gomez had reportedly spent a Bieber-free Christmas, surrounded by her family members. Hollywood Life even claims that being around her loved ones helped her 'forget about the toxic relationship' with the 'Boyfriend' singer. A source close to Gomez claimed that family is now more important to her than Bieber.

The holiday spirit continues as Gomez along with model Jenner and Hadid were spotted boarding a flight out of Los Angeles and heading to Dubai. The trio was accompanied by the 17-year-old Australian singer and Hadid's reported boyfriend, Cody Simpson. The mood of their trip was well reflected by Simpson's tweet, "Dubai bound tomorrow with some mates. New Years will be mental. Then a little Maldives surf action."

The 'Monte Carlo' star also kept her fans updated about her vacation by posting a group picture, in which she can be seen hugging Jenner and Hadid lovingly. The picture was accompanied with a caption, "Pashminas and candles under the stars." According to ENews, Gomez's latest escapade was probably one of her best New Year's celebrations as she welcomed 2015 surrounded by close friends and at a distant location, which was different from her usual settings.

Meanwhile, Bieber also welcomed 2015 in style along with his reportedly new crush, Hailey Baldwin. According to reports from MTV, Bieber celebrated the New Year with Baldwin and his music producer, Julian Swirsky, in Turks and Caicos. He was even spotted jet skiing along with a blonde girl sitting behind him, which further fuels the rumour that the two are dating. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, and Bieber remains single, according to his last declaration on Twitter.
