"Jelena" fans don't have much to celebrate following the release of Seventeen magazine of which Selena Gomez is on the cover. In the magazine, the "Come & Get It" singer reveals a few personal details about her split from Justin Bieber and how it had greatly helped her career. Apparently, even with the photos of them hanging out together, Justin and Selena are not back together judging from what the latter had to say.

2014 started out a bit rough for Gomez after announcing her tour cancellation in Australia. Afterwards, reports followed claiming the singer was battling with the auto-immune disease, Lupus. Adding to the long list of reports was Selena's reconciliation with her ex-boyfriend of three years, Justin Bieber. While some rejoiced to the news, it isn't exactly something to be happy about given they really aren't together.

In an interview with Seventeen Magazine, Selena revealed she has yet to find someone who "supports her lifestyle" which could only mean Bieber wasn't the supportive beau.

"I haven't found someone yet who could understand my lifestyle, support it, love me through it, and not be threatened by it," said Gomez.

The former Disney star also shared how the split had affected her career.

"I questioned the way I looked, acted, sang, and wrote. I started becoming very stale with my music and I realised that I was doing things for other people," continued Gomez.

"Then I turned 20, went through a really bad breakup, and realised I needed to pick up everything," recalled Gomez, adding, "All this time I was trying to figure out why I felt like such an underdog, and I finally realised I just wasn't ready. I'm glad it's taken me this long to get where I am because now I am ready for it."

Well, the split from Justin Bieber obviously boosted her career and not to mention her publicity. On the other hand, how has Justin reacted to the said interview? Right now, the Canadian crooner is busy with his own issues after his messy "egging" incident still under investigation by the Calabasas community cops.
