The Seattle Seahawks fans did not learn anything from the premature trooping to the exits of the Miami Heat fans during the 2013 NBA Finals and missed an epic comeback of their team in the NFC Championship Game. With just over 4 minutes left and the home team trailing 19-7, some of the fans decided to head home early.

These fans got the surprise of their lives when the team even pushed for a 22-19 turnaround in the final two and half minutes of the game. Images of the fans that were yearning to re-enter the stadium roamed social media which captured their regret with watching the rest of the match on a television outside the arena.

The Seahawks made the biggest comeback of their lives to earn the team's sixth Super Bowl ticket behind the quarterback Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch. The fourth interception pass of Wilson purportedly triggered the early trooping to the exit of the fans but the team never gave up in the final moments. Lynch used his running to good use with a 24-yard touchdown while Wilson converted on a one-yard touchdown and another two-point conversion to reverse a 19-7 deficit into a 22-19 lead.

The Green Bay Packers fought back with a game-tying field goal to send the game to overtime but the end game heroics of Wilson cannot be denied as he connected on the walk off touchdown with a picturesque 35-yard pass to Jermaine Kearse for the victory. Wilson redeemed himself in the last few minutes of the game after a horrendous start, figuring in the final four plays of the game. He attributes the calmness he displayed in the thick of the adversity to his father.

"Yeah, I'm usually pretty calm," Wilson told ESPN about the pressure during the game. "But I was thinking about the game and, I don't know, just the ups and down of life in the past year and people doubting us and what we could do. I was thinking about my dad and wishing he was here, but he was watching from the best seat in the house. It was an emotional time for me."

The Seahawks will also sure love to be one of the seats in the house. After all, three touchdowns in just 6 minutes to seal the win are improbable to say the least but it would be another lesson for fans not to readily give-up on the team. Still, some of the Seahawks players were not as quick to condemn the fans which left early but found some time to find humour in the incident.

I can't even express how bad I feel for the fans who left the game early today haha
