“Scream: The TV Series” is getting ready for a brand new season. The pre-production on “Scream: The TV Series” Season 2 reportedly kicked off on Monday, Jan. 4, in New Orleans as the new filming location for the surviving cast members of MTV’s horror TV series.

MTV made an announcement in July 2015 that “Scream: The TV Series” has been renewed for a second season without disclosing if the filming location will still be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where the pilot season of the MTV horror series was filmed. However, the latest news on “Scream: The TV Series” claim that the second season will move to New Orleans.

According to Nola, Film New Orleans’ latest local film and TV productions listing has included the pre-production schedule for “Scream: The TV Series” Season 2. As for the filming schedule of the MTV horror series, the listing revealed that it will begin on Feb. 16.

Fans of the show can now put a mark on the date April 20 because it is the premiere schedule of “Scream: The TV Series” Season 2 which stars Willa Fitzgerald as Emma Duvall, Bex Taylor-Klaus as Audrey Jensen and John Karna as Noah Foster. Details on the horror series’ new season are being kept under wraps but executive producers Jill Blotevogel and Bob Weinstein teased what the viewers can expect.

“Scream: The TV Series” executive producer Bob Weinstein assured the fans that there will be more scares, surprises, kills and even romance in the second season. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW), series creator Jill Blotevogel teased that “Scream: The TV Series” Season 2 will definitely focus on the accomplice of Ghostface killer Piper Shaw (Amelia Rose Blaire) with a timeline within one year or less after the events that happened in the first season and the surviving characters are still in Lakewood High.

The finale episode suggested that Audrey Jensen is the other Ghostface killer. However, the other characters of the TV series still have no idea that Audrey has been involved in Piper’s revenge plan.

“Yes, we're definitely pointing you down a path, but the characters don't know that. It's such a fine line to balance. I'm just going to throw it out there: If you care about Audrey, you'll care about what happens in season 2 and her mystery will definitely be the jumping off point,” Blotevogel told EW.
