The “Scream Queens” premiere on Tuesday night on Fox sent the series title straight to the top of Twitter's trending topics worldwide, after fans rushed to post updates on their social media accounts and series actresses Lea Michele and Emma Roberts tweeted their gratitude to fans.

“What fresh hell is this?”

This is one of the catchiest lines of the premiere episode of “Scream Queens”, which features whimsical and outrageous storylines and characters. Equal parts “Pretty Little Liars,” “Gossip Girl” and “Mean Girls,” the show is for viewers who just want to laugh themselves silly, and have a new source of wicked one-liners they can later whip out for fun repartee with friends and colleagues.

The pilot was written by Ryan Murphy (who also directed the episode), Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan – the same creative minds that brought “Glee” and “American Horror Story” to international audience. As far as the show’s target audience is concerned, “Scream Queens” made it to Tuesday’s must-watch list, not least because of its all-star cast - a huge treat for this generation’s pop culture followers.

Emma Roberts, Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin are among the lead stars, while Nick Jonas and Arianna Grande are credited as “special guest stars” in the pilot.

To show his appreciation for the solid fan support, co-creator Ryan Murphy tweeted an update (spoiler) about Arianna Grande. (See the tweet below.)
