How To Keep Your Child Healthy

It has become increasingly difficult to monitor the food choices children make when in school but there are ways to keep your child eating healthy food even without supervision. Below are a few tips:

1. Be an Example to your Child

Parents who want their children to eat healthy should be an example to their children. Once they are used to healthy food, they will never stray from that path, experts say.

2. Learn to Cook Healthy Yet Yummy Dishes

Children usually don't eat healthy food because they are not delicious, but cooking delicious dishes that are also good for them will encourage them to like healthy food in general.

3. Start Early

Giving your child healthy food at an early age will help him or her develop the taste for healthy food according to experts.

4. Prepare Lunch

For parents who are not comfortable with cafeteria food, preparing your child's lunch is a bright idea. Ensuring that the lunch is a complete meal and a delicious one is advised.

5. Encourage Exercise

Introducing outdoor activities to your child is one way to get him or her to exercise whether it's just walking in the park, playing football or biking. This can also be a bonding activity for parents and their children as well as teaching them the importance of exercise in general. Introducing indoor toys that encourage physical activity is also a good idea, expert say.
