Award-winning comedienne Amy Schumer debuted as host on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) episode on Sunday.

Schumer joked how she always thought that she looked gorgeous, but her friendship with Jennifer Lawrence made her change that opinion about herself.

“I know you guys look at me and you’re like, ‘You’re a comedian, you’re a mode,’ I seriously am always like, ‘Am I ... gorgeous?’” Schumer said. “And then I became friends with Jennifer Lawrence and I was like, ‘Nope!’”

After saying that, Schumer burst out in her singsong voice, singing “I’m a monnnnster! I just feel like I’m in the movie, Twins, and I’m Danny DeVito when I’m with her.”

The 34-year-old actress opened SNL’s show with a monologue, where she cheerfully said how happy she was to be on the show. Schumer also said hosting the show was a “dream come true” to her.

The 30-minute monologue was laced with jokes. Schumer’s jokes were about the Kardashians, Bradley Cooper, body image and guns.

After her performance, Schumer told Entertainment Tonight that her BFF JLaw sent her a message during the show. “Jennifer [Lawrence] sent me a really sweet text. She said that I looked pretty but not smart,” she said.

Schumer and JLaw have been reportedly doing a comedic screenplay together. The stars became friends after JLaw watched Schumer’s film “Trainwreck.”

Meanwhile, Schumer recently revealed that she is confident and comfortable with her body shape. During a vacation in September, she posted a photo of herself on Instagram. She is seen posing with a “Best Body” trophy.
