Sarah Paulson Emmy Watch: See ‘American Horror Story’ Star’s Best Red Carpet Gowns [SLIDESHOW]

Sarah Paulson, Emmy nominee for her role as Lana Winters on "American Horror Story: Asylum" has her fans on high alert for what she'll be wearing at the Primetime Emmy Awards on September 22. The 38-year-old actress has a great track record on the red carpet, with her most beautiful gowns designed by Reem Acra.

The "Game Change" actress looks beautiful in delicate lace dresses that show her peachy complexion to advantage. At the Critics' Choice Television Awards in June 2013, Sarah Paulson wore just that. She looked breathtaking in Carolina Herrera. It was a sweet, sleeveless, pleated skirt look for Sarah Paulson. Nude dresses can sometimes wash its wearer out, but this was just the right shade for Sarah Paulson. Hot pink Casadei pumps gave a welcome jolt of colour to her attire.

Another best dressed moment happened in October 2012 when Reem Acra outfitted Sarah Paulson. "American Horror Story: Asylum" premiered in Los Angeles and Sarah was best dressed. She gave a nod to the television drama's dark, gothic themes and wore a black, off-the-shoulder frock embellished with black feathers. Jet earrings and black pumps added to the effect.

Another Reem Acra gown made the list. In September 2012, it was a floral embroidered teal number on Sarah Paulson. "Emmy Award nominee" and "best dressed" seemed to go hand-in-hand for Sarah, whose role in HBO's "Game Change" landed her a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie, the same category she is nominated for this year. Sarah dressed the part and she looked beautiful in the shimmering, strapless gown.

After Sarah Paulson's Emmy gown, the best of the best was her 2013 Golden Globes gown. Sarah embraced glamour and glitter in yet another Reem Acra design. The dazzling, diamond patterned, black dress had a plunging neckline, a drop waist and a lush ruffled skirt.
