Sandra Bullock has brought “The Heat” to Sydney. The Australian winter was no match for the American star’s warm presence as she attended the premiere of her blockbuster flick in a whirlwind visit to the country on Tuesday.

Fans lined up and waited since early Tuesday morning for the actress to appear at the Event Cinemas on George Street for the premiere of her buddy cop film.

Sans co-star Melissa McCarthy and director Paul Feig, who also helmed the Oscar-nominated comedy “Bridesmaids,” Sandra also attended photo calls and interviews in a span of one day.

In the film, Sandra plays an uptight FBI agent Sarah Ashburn who gets paired with unconventional and boorish Boston detective Shannon Mullins (Melissa) to take down a Russian mobster. It has already earned $40m in the U.S., where it is currently at the no. 2 spot, second only to “Monsters University.”

But while she’s undoubtedly the biggest star in the movie, Sandra says the box office success of “The Heat” is due to teamwork of the cast and the film’s superb writing.

“They all do hilarious things that make you wet yourself, which is the goal when you’re making comedy, to make the audience wet themselves,” the actress said. “I just think it’s people willing to make asses of themselves and humiliate themselves for your pleasure. I think that might be what it is.”

Well, Australians are undoubtedly smitten with Sandra. Fans and even local celebrities have followed her tour Sydney, tweeting excitedly about catching a glimpse of the A-list star.

“The Heat” will be released in cinemas on July 11.
