While the Golden Globe Awards honors actors and actresses for their unwavering prowess in high-acting, there is another thing that most fans usually watch out for during the prestigious awards-giving night-that is, the celebrities' getup. This year's Golden Globe Awards has been star-studded with the gents and ladies parading in their expensive suits and gowns.

Crowd bets for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for Drama and Comedy/Musical respectively Sandra Bullock of "Gravity" and Amy Adams of "American Hustle" were just two of the many actors who wowed the crowd with their chic ensemble. Bullock wore a geometric, solid color gown from Prabal Gurung with her hair in a simple ponytail while Adams stuck loyally to her seventies role by sporting a red braless Valentino gown.

"Hunger games" star Jennifer Lawrence, who is featured in the "American Hustle" alongside actors Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper, appeared at the awards' night with a dazzling gown to boot. She wore a Christian Dior white gown, which she finished off with a black clutch and dark accessories, thereby highlighting the chiseled features of the star, who is currently sporting a pixie hair cut. While the star looked dazzling in her Dior gown, others weren't too happy. Most fans thought her addition of a 'rope-like ensemble' to her gown was downright disastrous. Disastrous or not, the star was still victorious as she bagged the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.

This year's Golden Globe Awards was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The prestigious awards night witnessed celebrities in various expensive designer suits and gowns, with familiar names ranging from Valentino, Versace, Lanvin, Tom Ford and Calvin Klein. Other bets for the Best Actress for a Motion Picture (Drama) such as Emma Thompson of Saving Mr. Banks and Cate Blanchett of Blue Jasmine wore Lanvin and Armani respectively.
